Pimpri Pendhar is a small village located on NH222 (Kalyan-Ahmednagar national highway) in Junnar Taluka of Pune district having more than 20,000 population. Towards East of Pimpri Pendhar, there is Dyaneshwar Maharaj's `Reda' Samadhi in Ale and also Kapardikeshwar in Otur, Girijatmaka in Lenyadri, Shivneri in Junnar and Vighnaharta in Ozar nearby.

Most of the villagers of Pimpri Pendhar are farmers and the village is notable for husbandry of ladies fingers, grapes, sugarcanes, pomegranate and green vegetables. The villagers are spiritual, religious and are concerned with sacred matters and because of this, even though the village is small, it is known for many prominent temples like ‘Gramdaivat’ Malganga Mata, Mahadev, Hanuman, Shrine of Shree Sitaram Maharaj, etc.

In 1960s, the villagers made up their mind to add one more feather in the crown of village by ramping up one more Temple of Almighty Vishwakarma. So the land for progressing the Temple of Deity Vishwakarma was acquired on 23 October 1959.
